If you are moving a MyBB installation to a new server, you’ll need to transfer all files by FTP and copy the database to the new host.
Put your forum in maintenance mode before so nobody will be able to post during the transfer. The posts might be lost otherwise.
Don’t forget to set proper file permissions for MyBB on the new host:
chmod 666 inc/config.php inc/settings.php chmod 777 cache/ cache/themes/ uploads/ uploads/avatars/
